The Pennsylvania Bar Association was founded in 1895 as a voluntary professional membership association for lawyers. The Pennsylvania Bar Association’s mission is to promote justice, professional excellence and respect for the law; improve public understanding of the law and the legal system; facilitate access to legal services for those in need; and provide a variety of professional benefits and networking opportunities to assist its 28,000 members in the practice of the law.
